LINES is based on a true story from 1983 at Princeton University, where Liesl found joy painting til the wee hours in studio.
Princeton is a serious and sometimes intimidating place, especially for a kid from North Carolina who had rarely been away from home. Liesl’s story also involves trips off campus to attend E.S.T. (Erhard Seminars Training) courses, and an older painter she meets there. LINES takes us into the world of Peri Martin as she struggles to make sense of and to move past what happens one night when she visits painter Dale Denning’s Trenton studio.
Liesl wrote and produced the film, and was delighted to finally have a project to partner on with Sara Werner, an up and coming director. Sara brought Rob Bennett, Blake Hawk, Ben Werfel, Nicholle Navarro, and many other talented and beautiful people to the team. We are deeply grateful to everyone who helped bring this story to life!
